Its Christmas, Time for decorations & gift givings

5 days more and it will be Christmas time. Are your Christmas decorations out of the box? Is your tree standing up with all its blinking lights, ribbons and ornaments?
December is my favorite month. Not just because its the month of my birth but because of Christmas celebrations. I really love decorating and watching those colorful blinking lights just like the fireflies butt^^
So I'm going to share to you some pictures of our simple Christmas decorations. We didn't spend anything for our decorations this year^^ thrifty much right?^^ The secret lies on proper storage^^

Paper Lollipop

My student is a fan of a Korean girl group "Girls Generation/ 소녀시대". During our class time, I would give her 5 mins free time and during this time, she would brows youtube for MVs and sing to it sometimes I sing with her "I'm a SONE also" and after that she would to talk to me in Korean, good thing I can understand some of what she was saying. Then she asked me to buy her a lollipop same with SNSD BABY BABY MV and so I did but the taste was awful and both of us throw those poor lollipops. But she really wanted to have the lollipop she would often say " Saeng sajuseyo" and so, we made a deal. If her teachers wrote positive remarks on her weakly assessment, I will make one for her and so here I am making a paper lollipop like a little kid.

Materials:Construction paper
glue
lollipop stick/balloon stick
 scissors

Procedures:
1. Cut the construction paper into strips[hmm maybe as wide as half of your thumb...i don't like using rulers].
2. Twist each strip to create a twine. If you want to have a two-color twine, then twist two colors together. But if you don't want to spent extra time twisting papers, you can also buy ready made paper twine but it's so thick that it takes longer for it to stick and its hard to bend it and twirl it around.
3. If you think you have enough, you can now start making your lollipop.
4. In a circular motion, start your first lollipop head and don't forget to put glue on each lining. As you finish the small one attache another one, doing the same process, your lollipop will get bigger.
5. I attach the stick at the back portion using a glue or if you want you can also make a hole in the bottom part and insert the stick.
6. Wrap it with a plastic and add ribbon or cards if you want.

Kimbap

One boring Sunday afternoon, My older brother and I were bored. Out of the blue, we decided to make some kimbap^^..It was the first time that we would make this kind of food. So, we went to the market to buy some ingredients like eggs, spam, carrot and bamboo mat roller. We already have some kim given by one of my student. Here are our kimbap making pictures.

When you looked at it, it seemed difficult but in reality it's as easy as 1-2-3^^
All you have to do is slice the ingredients lengthwise and thin. then spread the rice on top of the kim and then roll it. You now have kimbap. Just make sure to put sesame oil on the roller so that the kim will really stick to create a neat roll.

Lets Make some Kimchi^^

Ingredients:
1 Napa cabbage head[Chinese cabbage], ginger, 2-4 cloves of garlic, Korean pepper powder & Spring onion. You can also add other vegetables if you want but I don't really like experimenting too much because the last I did, the Kimchi turned bad and tasted awful. Maybe something bad happened because of the mixed that I did. So from now on, I'm sticking to the basic.

Steps:
1. Divide the cabbage into two and cut it crosswise. Then soak it on a warm water with salt for 2-4 hrs.
2. Mix the pepper powder with water until in turns into a paste but not so sticky.
3.Drain the cabbage of excess water and set aside.
4. Now you can mix all the ingredients[minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped spring onion and pepper] in a big basin. use your hands to spread the paste evenly and make sure that all parts/leaves of the cabbage had been coated with the paste.
Note: Don't forget to use hand gloves because the pepper paste is sure is hot and it will burn your skin^^

I made kimchi for the second time and actually its was very easy. Just gather the right ingredients[which are easy to find] and then do the chopped & mixed. After 20 minutes or less its done^^
